Breast Surgery Procedures We Provide

Breast Augmentation

The reasons that drive women to go for a breast enhancement surgery are wide and varied. The effects of aging, loss of skin elasticity, and other factors such as weight loss, pregnancy and breast-feeding may affect the shape and firmness of your breasts. Due to any of these reasons and more, many women seek surgical breast enhancement to lift the breasts and give them more firmness, and thus achieve a more youthful breast contour.

If you're considering breast augmentation, schedule a consultation with Dr. Rosen to discuss your options and breast implant possibilities. Many factors are taken into account while selecting the implants. These include sagginess, asymmetry, width, nipple size, cleavage, and more. Dr. Rosen takes many precautions through measurements to select the right breast implant option for you.

With the advancements of surgical methods and breast-implant technology, breast augmentation procedure has become more refined, ensuring a more sculpted look and better post-surgical results. Dr. Rosen offers breast augmentation (breast enlargement) procedure with breast implants, which might be silicone shells filled with either saline (salt water) or silicone gel. These implants can significantly alter the size and shape of a woman's breasts.

Breast Lift

A complex breast enhancement procedure, mastopexy raises and reshapes sagging breasts. It can be performed with or without inserting breast implants. Excess skin is removed and the surrounding tissue tightened to create firmer breasts.

The procedure can be done at any age. It is often recommended to wait until breast development has stopped. Breast implants are inserted along with a lift to increase the firmness and size of the breasts. Breast lift is ideal for women with small breasts, or those who have lost breast volume. Since milk ducts and nipples are left intact, it doesn't change your ability to breast feed. Heavy breasts can also be lifted, although the results may not be that very satisfying or long lasting.

Normally it takes one and half to three and half hours to complete the procedure. Most common of the mastopexy techniques is the anchor-shaped breast lift technique. Here an incision is made along the crease at the base of the breast, another around the areola, and a vertical incision between the areola and the base of the breast. Unwanted skin and fat are removed, the breast is lifted and to reshape the breast, the skin around the areola is pulled downwards.

Breast Reduction

Due to overly big breasts, many women face physical and emotional problems. With breast reduction procedure, women living with oversized breasts can get relief from shoulder, back, and neck pain. Breast reduction can be performed at any age, but Dr. Rosen usually recommends waiting until breast development has stopped.

There are many different techniques used to perform reduction mammoplasty. The most common method involves making three incisions: one around the areola, another vertically down from the bottom of the areola (edge), and the third along the natural curve of the crease at the base of the breast. Dr. Rosen removes excess tissue of the skin, breasts and fat after which the nipple and areola are shifted to a higher position. The procedure will also address the tissue surrounding the nipple, or areola, which oftentimes becomes stretched. To further reshape the breasts, the skin above the nipple is brought down. Since the nipples and areolas remain attached to the underlying tissues, sensation is kept in tact. Breast lift can often be performed in conjunction with reduction surgery for enhanced results.

Breast Reconstruction

Reconstruction of the breast is done to restore breasts that have been removed due to cancer or other diseases. Breast reconstruction is achieved through several plastic surgery techniques, which involves restoring a breast to near normal shape, and reformation of a natural looking areola and nipple. The procedure involves the use of implants or relocated flaps of the patient’s own tissue. The procedure can be performed immediately following breast removal. Patient with high blood pressure, obesity, and diabetes are considered high risk candidates. As it involves multiple procedures, these follow-up surgeries are spread out over weeks or months.
